SMRT is seeking a full-time experienced commercial Interior Designer to join our team. Candidate should bring skill, leadership, humor, and passion for interior design
Responsibilities:
- Work with project teams and clients throughout all phases of design and construction to establish project goals, objectives, and design direction for interiors.
- Actively participate in presentations and meetings with clients.
- Research, product selection, finishes, specifications, including furniture specifications and packages.
- Develop presentation material including concepts and 3D renderings/visualization.
- Produce detailed construction documentation including plans, elevations, and details that support the design.
- Participate in quality review of projects.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Contribute to the overall culture and success of SMRT.

Requirements
- Degree in Interior Design from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in commercial interior design. Experience across multiple markets preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Highly organized and detail oriented, good listening skills and the ability to produce high-quality work on time in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize work based on workload and project demands.
- Collaborative mindset, good listener, curious and proactive.
- Strong understanding of applicable codes, materials, standards, and best practices.
- Preference for NCIDQ certification
Technical knowledge:
- High proficiency with Revit, Sketch-up and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Working knowledge of design software such as Enscape a plus.
- Knowledge of sustainable materials and practices preferred..
