Position Overview: As the Director of Value Engineering, you'll pioneer disruptive solutions in test, reliability, DFx, and prototyping. Your role is not just about analysis; it's about challenging industry norms, fostering innovation, and leading a team that sets new standards in electronic manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Test Development: Lead the development of production test strategies, conduct DFT analysis, and drive test system development aligned with our value engineering strategy.

DFx Excellence: Conduct DFx analyses across electrical, mechanical, system, software, and physical/environmental domains, setting new standards and guidelines.

Innovative Solutions: Develop software, scripts, and databases that define the cutting edge of electromechanical design.

Industry Vision: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, assessing machine platforms, and implementing innovations within SMTC.

Operational Leadership: Provide strategic input to Value Engineering operations, managing subcontractors, and executing test development projects.

Collaborative Leadership: Support team members and projects, fostering a collaborative environment where innovation thrives.

IP Development: Drive the creation of intellectual property and innovative solutions that elevate SMTC's Value Engineering expertise.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: STEM degree desired (minimum B.S.), equivalent experience also considered.

Experience: Proven experience in developing electromechanical test systems, conducting requirements and design analysis, and analyzing large, dynamic data sets.

Production Test Environment: Previous experience supporting a production test environment is essential.

Additive Manufacturing: Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes.

Travel: Up to 25% travel may be required.

Security Clearance: Must be willing and eligible to obtain at least a secret-level security clearance.

Hybrid Work: Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

Commitment to Excellence: Willingness to work off-shifts and weekends as required to meet project deadlines.
