About the Role
As Snackpass' First Design Researcher, you'll work closely with Product Managers and Designers to help us better understand our users, generate & validate hypotheses, and create best in class experiences.
Day to day, you will:
- Use Snackpass in various markets to uncover insights that will help improve the consumer experience.
- Develop and own new processes and best practices, helping to create a research team from the ground up.
- Host regular research sessions with consumers and restaurant partners in the field.
- Design and run quantitative & qualitative experiments to support team initiatives.
- Organize and share discoveries in reports and presentations to drive key product decisions.
- Work cross-functionally with Product Mangers and Designers to add research throughout the product development cycle including surveys, prototype usability testing, and interviews.
- Act as the voice of the customer, advocating on their behalf to help teams better empathize with changing needs.
Who you are:
- 3-6 years of relevant industry experience. This could include design research, UX research, and market research, preferably for digital products.
- Expertise in running end-to-end user research studies; planning, recruitment, execution, analysis and delivery.
- Familiarity with a wide range of qualitative research methodologies such as one-on-one interviews, ethnographic field research, usability testing (lab and remote), heuristic evaluations, card sorting, surveys.
- You are a scrappy self-starter excited by the idea of acting autonomously on loosely-defined challenges. You like to roll up your sleeves, get in the kitchen or do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Strong qualitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable as an individual contributor who can get their hands dirty, but ready to grow and lead a team.
- Can communicate research findings in creative and impactful ways that make information easier to understand.
- A strong understanding of the psychological basis of user research and a high level of empathy.
- Storytelling with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bonus points if:
- You have experience working on a marketplace or two-sided platform.
- Experience working on products that span on-screen and IRL.
- You have worked on fun or gen-z consumer applications.
