The Network Engineer will report to the Technical Services Manager West and is responsible for providing technical support to clients and building enterprise-grade networks. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, environment that is goal oriented and emphasizes accountability for delivering results. The Network Engineer will be responsible for establishing a point of resolution for each technical inquiry. The position will require a multitasking, out-of-the-box thinker, efficient and productive go-getter.

Responsibilities
- Open tickets, diagnose, and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 issues with remote clients’ networks
- Program/provision wired and wireless network systems for deployment at remote sites
- Provide and maintain thorough documentation of client systems
- Create and manage client accounts on Ruckus FlexMaster and vSZ (Virtual Smartzone) and other management servers
- Foster a spirit of collaboration with clients and teammates by coaching and sharing knowledge
- Learn new technologies and products
- Write/publish KB articles to increase the team's institutional knowledge
- Process RMAs for defective products
- Occasional after-hours emergency support for remote clients
Qualifications
Requires Qualifications
- Networking experience (1-3 years preferred) and current CCNA certification (or equivalent)
- Advanced understanding of network protocols, firewalls, routers, switching, TCP/IP, STP and RF coverage
- Advanced understanding of wireless local area networks, authentication, security, and encryption protocols
- Experience supporting customer environments in a helpdesk/support capacity
- Able to solve complex technical problems while under pressure and interfacing with clients
- Availability nights/weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Residential custom electronics design/integration experience and familiarity with home automation systems such as Crestron, Savant, AMX, and Control4
- Ruckus Wireless Solutions Engineer (WiSE), CWNA/CWNP, ICX/Brocade certifications or equivalent experience
- Experience programming and troubleshooting Ruckus ZoneDirector and vSZ (Virtual Smartzone) environments
- Experience with TeamViewer or other remote desktop support applications
- Working knowledge of ConnectWise
- Python, VBScript, JavaScript, or other scripting experience
- Apple or Microsoft certifications
- VPN and SSH experience
- Web development / database experience
