Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst role is a dynamic position that protects Snapping Shoals EMC from security breaches, attacks on computer systems and networks. The position deals directly with safeguarding information assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security issues in a office team environment. A successful candidate should be ethical, an excellent communicator and possess a strong internal drive to assess current situations, evaluate trends and anticipate future security developments.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain security event and incident response plan for effective technical response
Analyze external threat sources to identify defensive actions to reduce risk
Collaborate with software developers, networking, and other teams to identify gaps in cybersecurity
Conduct and lead in-depth research and analysis of suspected compromised systems
Coordinate vulnerability and penetration testing and manage the remediation of findings
Recommend changes to reduce cybersecurity threats and risks
Monitor and communicate metrics on a timely basis to leadership concerning cybersecurity control
Operate and maintain Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
Oversee the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance
Perform all essential functions adhering to the highest level of ethical and professional conduct
Provide support during annual recertification and assessments
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
5 years of prior IT experience with 2 years focus on cybersecurity
Experience with security tools (such as SIEM, vulnerability management, endpoint security)
