Summary:
The Controller supports the company CFO in the oversight of all accounting operations. He/she maintains the integrity of financial data and provides accounting analysis related to corporate and business initiatives or requests. The person oversees day to day functions of the accounting department staff and assists the personnel in Accounting process improvement activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Supervise accounting activities involving personnel in G/L, A/P, A/R, credit and collections, factory payroll, invoicing and sales tax filing.
2) Coordinate the monthly and year-end close in compliance with closing schedule.
3) Oversee compilation of financial statements and ensure their accuracy by utilizing multiple account and trending analysis.
4) Monitor current methods of work flow within the department and continually look for means to improve efficiencies through new or modified procedures and processes.
5) Daily review of costing data exception report and monthly review of discrepancies.

6) Understand and explain significant variances in monthly activity related to labor usage,
productivity and inventory balances.
7) Provide CFO with information required for both internal and external reporting.
8) Handle all confidential Payroll processing and related activities.
9) Monitor daily cash management activities.
10) Process all transactions for the 401-K plan that require use of the Fidelity website. Provide data input for development of the Form 5500 and its audit.
11) Miscellaneous financial projects and analysis as required.
Qualifications:
1) A bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum 7 years' experience in accounting/financial reporting in a manufacturing company.
2) A minimum of 4 years supervisory experience.
3) A high level of experience in managing all aspects of month-end and year-end closing activities and financial statement preparation.
4) A keen understanding of financial reporting, cost accounting, manufacturing systems and IS systems support.5) An ability to continually evaluate processes and create efficiencies.

Salary: $65,240.00 - $146,143.00 per year
