As an Aircraft Records Clerk V, you will catalogue and maintain our technical documentation. You'll be responsible for tracking and managing incoming aircraft maintenance documents including log-pages, maintenance task cards, and documents.
You will also track vendor shipments, update forms & databases throughout the Maintenance Repair Cycle, interfaces with SNC Depot Personnel.
An Aircraft Records Clerk V will be providing direct interface and coordination with both the CONUS and OCONUS Logistics Specialists to ensure positive two-way communication and support are being provided.

Responsibilities :
- Sorts and files hardcopy aircraft documents. Performs data entry for aircraft maintenance documents as required.
- Responsible for maintaining records of all aircraft maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and modifications. Ensure records are up to date and easily accessible for audits and inspections.
- Audits all aircraft records for accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Manages overall data entry being provided via the MMIS from the Deployed Operations Teams to support the operational and material availability requirements.
- Prepares Open Repair Reports, inbound and outbound Repair Shipment Reports, Inventory Status and Shortage Reports.
- Maintaining complete history of each aircraft, including all maintenance activities, incidents, and accidents. Provide information to relevant parties, such as auditors, insurance companies, and regulatory authorities.
- Interfaces with the GFE Manager, Logistics Engineer, and Planning / Purchasing Agents. Follows up with deployed maintenance crew on all corrections and / or missing documentation and runs KPI metric reports.
- Work closely with maintenance teams ensuring all required maintenance activities are completed and documented. Coordinate with external service providers to schedule maintenance activities as required.
- Responsible for performing administrative tasks related to the maintenance of aircraft records, such as filing, data entry, and record retention.
Must-haves :
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, ICAO, DOD, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of Logistics Material Resource Planning (MRP) and database data entry
- Understand and interpret basic applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and / or publications
- Overall knowledge of time compliance items, airworthiness directives and service bulletins.
- Exceptional research, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving and time management skills
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and flexibility
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Advanced experience with computer systems and aircraft maintenance tracking software
- Overall knowledge of time compliance items, airworthiness directives and service bulletins
- Experience with the practical application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
Preferred :
- Prior experience in a Lead or supervisory role; the ability to hire, mentor and train
- Experience in a similar role with a commercial airline or aviation company.
- Ability to support proposal activities, including creating direct cost forecasts and travel and labor worksheets.
- Knowledgeable of regulations for aircraft maintenance ensuring records meet requirements. Monitor changes in regulatory environment updating records accordingly.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military Operations.
- Ability to type 35 WPM.
- Familiarity with rotable and non-rotable aircraft parts certificates.
