Position Overview :

As a full-time CDL Class A Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials from one location to another.

This position requires a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A and adherence to all applicable traffic laws and regulations.

You will primarily operate tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, or other large commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities :

1. Safe Operation of Commercial Vehicles :

• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle’s mechanical fitness, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
• Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper securing of cargo and compliance with weight restrictions.
• Maintain a high level of situational awareness to anticipate and respond to potential hazards on the road.

2. Efficient Transportation of Goods :

• Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement.
• Plan routes using maps, GPS systems, or other navigation tools to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Follow delivery schedules and maintain communication with dispatch or logistics personnel to provide updates on progress or delays.
• Coordinate with warehouse or loading dock personnel to ensure smooth loading and unloading processes.

3. Documentation and Compliance :

• Complete all necessary paperwork, such as bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logbooks, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including hours-of-service regulations and electronic logging requirements.
• Maintain and submit accurate records of driving hours, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information as required.
• Follow company policies and procedures related to vehicle maintenance, fueling, and reporting any mechanical issues or accidents.

4. Customer Service and Professionalism :

• Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and other personnel at pickup and delivery locations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, or issues related to deliveries.
• Represent the company in a positive manner, maintaining a clean and professional appearance at all times.

Qualifications :

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with appropriate endorsements and a clean driving record.
• Minimum age requirement (typically 21 years or older).
• Proven experience as a CDL Class A driver or similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable traffic laws, regulations, and safety practices.
• Ability to operate and maneuver large commercial vehicles in various weather and road conditions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and securing loads.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to complete necessary paperwork accurately.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other relevant technology for record-keeping and navigation.
