What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician position at Snead Eye Group?
Growing Ophthalmology practice is currently seeking Ophthalmic Technicians to join our team. Our practice offers state-of-the-art technology in a small, personalized setting with 4 locations in SWFL.
Preferred skill set includes knowledge of the following: visual acuities, manual and auto refraction's, tonometry, lensometry, OCT, visual fields, fundus photos, and assisting in minor procedures. Knowledge of multifocal and accommodating IOLs a plus. Must have experience with EHR and a minimum of one year working in an ophthalmology or optometry office.
Qualified candidates must convey compassion and empathy towards their patients: as well as, have the ability to work well with other team members. Must also demonstrate proficiency with windows-based medical software, as well as knowledge of insurance and coding (CPT and ICD10). Must be able to travel within 3 locations, based on MD/OD schedules.
COA or COT certification a plus!
