What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Snelling - Birmingham?

Snelling is currently recruiting for a Front Desk Medical Associate for a Chiropractor office located in Hoover, AL. Candidates must be able to multi-task and must have organizational skills while working in a busy environment. Medical insurance experience is preferred. Looking for an upbeat and positive personality!

Staff hours are Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am -6:00 pm

Starting pay: $12.00-16.00/hr, depending on experience

Benefits are available after the probationary period.

Bilingual Front Desk duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Working with multi-line phones
  • Verifying medical insurance benefits
  • Requesting and tracking required physician orders and medical records
  • Obtaining pre-authorizations from insurance companies
  • Discussing and collecting deductibles and coinsurance amounts from patients
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Electronic data entry
  • Greeting patients
Requirements for the Bilingual Front Desk:
  • 2 years in a medical front desk position
  • Being Bilingual is preferred
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records is a must
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Patient focus is a top priority
  • Must be able to work a full-time position and be DEPENDABLE
