POSITION SUMMARY Oversee and assist with the maintenance, installation, inspection, and repair of machinery and equipment related to chairlifts and surface tows as per the ANSI Code for Passenger Tramways, Aerial Tramways, Aerial Lifts, Surface Lifts and Tows Safety Requirements. Starting wage between $26.50/hr. - $34.00/hr. depending on experience. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) with extensive mechanical and/or millwright experience and/or training Knowledge and experience working with motor controls, AC/DC drives, PLC systems, relay logic, and low voltage Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety practices and ANSI code Must be able to pass Company certification as a Snowmobile Operator Ability to operate equipment as needed; read and comply with documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Able to accurately record data in a timely fashion Ability to work at elevated heights and in extreme weather conditions A valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Must be able to work flexible schedules, including second and third shifts Offers of employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Follow all Company and Department Safety Policies and Procedures. Attend training and safety meetings, as well as exhibit the application and retention of all material presented. Demonstrate the ability and willingness to follow verbal and written instructions; as well as further develop professional skills, abilities, and knowledge. Exhibit willingness to perform other duties as assigned or assist in efforts outside of department as needed. Read work orders, perform inspections, troubleshoot advanced electrical/mechanical failure(s), determine best course of action to correct issues, and complete tasks. Demonstrate the ability to provide guidance to others and complete the maintenance of lift machinery, controls, safety systems, and related equipment so that it is in proper and safe working order, assuring a very high degree of reliability. Timely complete the removal, repair, and replacement of worn or defective parts. Assists Supervisor with daily Lift Maintenance logs and records. Assists in completing all regulatory local, state, and federal compliance and documentation requirements as assigned. Respond to emergencies that might arise during off-duty hours. WORKING CONDITIONS Mental strain and fatigue may occasionally be caused by trying to resolve guest issues, meeting deadlines, and balancing the wants and needs of the departmental staff. Handling emergency situations and working in adverse weather conditions may cause additional mental strain. Physical hazards include walking up and down steep stairways or driving on surfaces that may be wet/frozen and slippery, as well as exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, mists and gases, on-mountain vehicles, electric current/shock, and hydraulic systems.
