POSITION OBJECTIVES
This position is responsible for the overall management of the convenience store by providing support to staff and the C Store manager. They are to ensure that all company policies are followed and that the team works effectively together. The Assistant Manager role models company core values and is a model for appropriate conduct.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Forecast, order and stock merchandise and product
· Aid in ensuring prompt reconciliation of store operations paperwork
· Ensure prompt, efficient and courteous guest service
· Aid in maintaining a clean, guest friendly environment in and outside of the store
· Schedule maintenance and upkeep of equipment
· Coach, train and counsel store team members in partnership with the store manager
· Assist with scheduling and payroll corrections, timecard approvals, and wage and hour compliance for the store team
· Communicate store related issues to Store Manager and or District Manager
· Ensure all health and safety standards are met and procedures effectively managed
· Fulfill all responsibilities as a supervisory employee. Notifying HR and Site Manager immediately when there are employee concerns including but not limited to leave of absence, worker compensation, wage and hour, working off the clock, disability accommodations, workplace harassment or other employee relations matters.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: DEGREE
High School Diploma or equivalent
REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE
· 1-2 years of customer service experience
· Experience in a supervisory convenience store environment preferred
· 1-2 years of supervisory experience
REQUIREMENTS: PHYSICAL
- Ability to remain in a stationary seated or standing position for various increments of time
- Able to move about to access a variety of tools and office equipment
- Able to consistently operate a computer or other electronic device
- Able to ascend or descend a ladder, crouch or crawl
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, lift over head, twist and turn body when appropriate
- Must be able to communicate clearly through both verbal and written form
