Attorney

Sobel Han, LLP is looking for an associate with 1-4 years of litigation experience to join the firm. The ideal candidate will be a people person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing top-notch legal service to our clients. Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, court rules and motion practice are required; knowledge of RE transactions or condominium law is a plus but not necessary.

Initial responsibilities will include:

• Prepare legal notices and represent landlords in all phases of non-payment and "for cause" holdover evictions.
• Handle matters in Special Civil Part from inception through trial - draft pleadings, discovery demands and trials.
• Represent clients in municipal court.

As you progress in your career, our expectation is that you will develop the following skills as an attorney.

Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research to support and provide valuable insight to senior attorneys handling matters in Law Division and Federal Court .

Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related material.

Client Interaction: Develop and maintain strong client relationships by being a responsive and effective communicator, understanding client needs, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Courtroom Representation: Assist in courtroom proceedings, including hearings, trials, and depositions, under the guidance of senior attorneys, and eventually handle your own caseload.
