SoBran is seeking a Warehouse Attendant (Operations Specialist I) for our warehouse in Gaithersburg which supports the National Institutes of Health campus in Bethesda, MD. Duties will include receiving, organizing, sorting, and palletizing incoming property from truck delivery while ensuring accuracy of and match paperwork to all property you come in contact with. This position also assists the Driver in the performance of their duties when out on a truck.
Responsibilities:
Understand the procedures in handling items that enter the warehouse to accurately relocate items when needed.
Ensure accountability of all property scanned or received.
Assist driver in screening and scanning property for accuracy.
Ensure all policies, processes and procedure are carried out daily.
Palletize like items and assign pallet to warehouse location in accordance to established procedures on entry to warehouse.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be able to lift/move 70lbs of dead weight.
High school diploma or equivalent recommended but not required.
Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
Must have normal eye hand coordination to operate fork lift and other equipment.
Detail oriented.
Knowledge and use of handheld scanners a plus, but not required.
Minimum of one year experience.
