Description
Automotive Technician/Mechanic Crews Subaru of Charleston is seeking a full time Automotive Service Technician.
We are a local family owned Subaru and Chevrolet in operation for over 25 years.
Job Responsibilities For Automotive Technician.
•Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair
•Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
•Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
•Examine the vehicle to determine if any additional safety or service work is needed and advise service advisor.
•If repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
•update service advisor.
•Document work performed and recommended on the repair order.
•Upon completion of work complete correction area of repair order and keys to Service Advisor.
•Ensure that customers’ cars are kept clean, undamaged, and without changes to the comfort, convenience systems or audio system settings. Notifies service manager immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
•Attend factory-sponsored training classes
•Road test vehicles to verify repairs
Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership owned tools at all times
Requirements
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•5 years’ experience minimum
•Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
•Be able to stand for long periods of time
•Must have your own tools
Team oriented, flexible, focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
