SUMMARY
Function/Scope:
The PD will be responsible for managing, presenting, and training the following health programs designed by the SAHRC: Bienestar/NEEMA Coordinated School Health Program EdTech curriculum and related services; Bienestar Adult Healthy Lifestyle Program (BAHLP) and related mobile app; and the CDC’s National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP). The PD will be engaged to supervise, train, counsel, and maintain HR records of SAHRC staff, and provide both progress and funding reports to SAHRC Executive Director. The PD will oversee projected and actual SAHRC budgets working in tandem with the executive director, and provide advanced knowledge of functional procedures and best practices to meet SAHRC needs regarding organizational development and training.
DUTIES
Typical:
· Provides leadership, guidance, and recommendations to all levels of departments and staff regarding organizational development and training.
· Oversees the development and delivery of organizational programs for all levels of leadership to meet the current and future needs of the SAHRC.
· Partners with professionals and other colleagues to deliver outstanding results.
· Manages and oversees all aspects of projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
· Oversees and participates in the hiring, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.
· Responsible for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors, and contractual deliverables.
· Prepares reports regarding status of project and budget to SAHRC directors, board members and funding institutions.
· Leads and directs the coordination, development and presentation of workshops/classes designed to facilitate staff training and development.
· Identifies project scope and oversees just-in-time training programs targeted for specific programmatic needs.
· Manages metrics instruments to evaluate the effectiveness of specific projects and operations.
· Conducts organizational design reviews and assessments. Makes recommendations based on gathered assessment data to senior management.
· Collaborates in HR senior management meetings, budget, and strategic planning.
· Collaborates with school district and other organizations partners of SAHRC.
· May conduct departmental retreats and/or team building activities.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required:
Master’s degree in public health, Community Health, Nutrition, Organizational Management, or related field.
Preferred:
Master's degree from an accredited university.
OTHER
Exceptional planning and organizational skills. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills for interaction with all levels of internal and external personnel and organizations. Demonstrate ability in data analysis, report writing, and policy interpretation. Demonstrate effective project management skills, including planning and organization. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of training strategies and educational concepts of adult learning. Work requires exercise of organizational and time management skills.
