ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Senior Content Strategist is a pivotal role at Socialfly, combining a love for consumer engagement with a mind for strategy and an innate digital curiosity. Those successful in this role are self-starting social enthusiasts, able to truly hear a client’s feedback and present them with the perfect solution. Relationship building is key as a Senior Content Strategist, able to understand and evaluate difficult client conversations with their Account Supervisor and/or Associate Director, and brainstorm solutions. A willingness and eagerness to provide assistance to team members is admired and a desire to mentor the junior team is applauded.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Content
- Strategic content lead, responsible for ongoing brainstorms and leading the development of editorial content calendars with a creative counterpart;
- Responsible for copywriting across all client content calendars, with support from a Community Manager when necessary;
- Scheduling and publishing of all organic content through HeyOrca;
- Building and moderating evergreen query streams in Sprout Social across all clients, identifying relevant hashtags and keywords to conquest;
- Overseeing the creation and maintenance of each clients’ Response Matrix, in collaboration with the Community Manager;
Research, Performance & Analysis
- Responsible for developing performance reports per client (e.g.: monthly, quarterly, etc.), tapping into the full suite of tools to tell a brand story with actionable insights and learnings;
- Regularly review hashtag performance in Hashtastic, tailoring your content strategy based on data and performance;
- Regularly researching consumer and industry insights, informing your content strategy through data and metrics;
- Responsible for presenting reports and insights to clients, comfortable answering hard questions and able to effectively communicate numbers into actionable recommendations;
Account & Project Management
- Participate on prioritized client calls, sometimes leading when AD/AS is unavailable, taking notes and succinctly recapping the meeting via an email for the client following the meeting;
- Responsible for curation of client call agendas, tapping all relevant teammates (e.g.: Influencer, Paid, Creative) to provide the agenda to the client in advance of the meeting time;
- Frequently review Asana projects and continually hit assigned deadlines, adding new tasks and assisting AD/AS in keeping all teams on deadlines;
- Work with AD/AS on project timelines, ensuring interdepartmental briefings are held, working with Paid Media, Influencer and Creative divisions to deliver best-in-class marketing strategies;
- Collaborate with pod’s buyer to execute boosting initiatives, able to understand the methodology of media buying with an eagerness to learn paid media;
- Develop industry POVs for platform enhancements, emerging ad units, etc.;
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-6 years social media/digital marketing experience
- Experience working with presentation software such as Google Slides, Keynote and PowerPoint is necessary
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment is necessary and agency experience is preferred
- Expert working knowledge of all social media platforms and analytics tools
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
