Sage Intacct Consultant for Nonprofit
Sockeye is actively seeking a Nonprofit Business Analyst to support our nonprofit team. In this position you will be responsible for providing exceptional support for our existing customer base and prospects. Using prior experience, training, and education in the nonprofit finance world, the ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication and work closely with customers and other Sockeye team members to resolve challenges and improve customer processes.
This is a client-facing role that requires a deep knowledge of ERP system, nonprofit business process and fund accounting, coupled with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Responsibilities of this role include the following:
Essential Functions:
- Service Sockeye’s customers and prospects profitably
- Support Senior Consultants and Project Managers on Sage Intacct project implementations: including requirements gathering, configuration, and custom reporting/document creation
- Participate in multiple engagements simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and quality are being met
- Research and/or escalate complex software issues to identify improvements and opportunities
- Keep abreast of current technology and accounting standards
- Advise clients on accounting best practices within the system based on their industry
- Provide classroom or web- based training sessions
- Requires minimal, occasional travel
- Other duties as assigned
Job Specifications:
- Sage Intacct Software support
- Other software products as assigned
- Maintain consulting certifications with Sage
- Ability to successfully multi-task across projects, customers, and internal activities
- Highly enthusiastic, proactive, positive-minded, customer focused, and service-oriented
- Maintain high level of customer satisfaction and professionalism
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent writing, editing, listening and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, ambitious, willingness to learn, adapt, and excel
- Superior time management and organizational skills with ability to manage priorities independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of disciplines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, MIS, or related field
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in support of finance/operations in nonprofit organization(s)
- Nonprofit and fund accounting experience with excellent understanding of financial software
- Basic knowledge of FASB and GASB accounting standards
- Valid Driver’s License Required
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct is a plus
