Collections Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the collection of key Retail Chain accounts such as Target, Walmart and Grocery Chains such as Wakefern and Albertson’s. This includes the timely resolution of all disputes and reconciliation of past due balances.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages balances on high volume key accounts assigned and communicates with accounts to maintain positive relationships and timely payment of invoices.
• Review aging and call upon accounts when delinquencies occur. Work with Inside and Outside Sales if needed to timely and efficiently research and resolve any disputes.
• Ownership and accountability for all accounts on aging including disputes which will be initially handled by AR dispute management team.
• Perform Account Reconciliation(s) and miscellaneous reports as required in Excel.
• Review accounts placed on credit hold, seeks approval for release or resolution.
• Must be analytical, perform research and be able to identify and resolve issues or know when to escalate to Supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

• 3 years of Accounts Receivable/Collection experience handling Retail/Grocery accounts preferred.
• Solid understanding of chargebacks and deductions and proven record of resolution and reduction of these occurrences
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Experience with NetSuite preferred
• Familiarity with 1EDI
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and research problems effectively.
• Moderate Excel experience required.
