Production Manager

We are looking for a Production Manager to join our USA filling factory. You will maintain optimum operations by assigning workers, hiring, and training new employees, pursuing productivity initiatives, along with responsibility of shipping, receiving, inventory control, quality, safety, maintenance and supplies with a primary focus on the safe and efficient operation of the factory.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Performance for entire Factory.
• Able to identify operational shortfalls and present corrective action plans.
• Provide operational leadership for Operations including Filling, Sub-Assembly, Maintenance, Inventory Control & Management.
• Provide leadership to employees of which requires a heavy floor presence (not operating machinery but teaching on the floor when needed).
• Recommends equipment and supplies as appropriate and within operating budget with the purchasing dept.
• Trains employees on proper use of equipment, job and safety requirements including, but not limited to; forklift training, PPE training, OSHA requirements and CFR49 Hazmat training.
• Continuously analyzes operation to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
• Coordinates and manages bi-monthly and annual physical inventory with complete ownership and responsibility of inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Expertise Requirements:

• 5 years of Production & Warehouse Management experience.
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, OSHA, EH&S, Hazmat, ISO, Lean Manufacturing.
• Electrical or Mechanical experience including the handling and maintenance of industrial equipment including air compressors, pumps, pneumatic cylinders, valves, sensors etc.
• Strong computer and analytical skills required including preferred knowledge of NetSuite ERP and Microsoft Office suite.
• Interpersonal Skills: must be able to speak with employees, other department managers and senior management.
• Leadership Skills: must be able to motivate employees to keep operations running smoothly.
• Problem-Solving Skills: must be able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving it, such as identifying defects in the production line.
• Time Management
• Project Management: Must have a strong project management skills and experience with both short-term and long-term production scheduling.
