Senior Fund Accountant - Job Description

The Senior Fund Accountant is a critical member of the Finance team, responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the investment management business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fund accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in financial reporting and auditing.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements for funds, including the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
  • Manage the fund accounting system and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
  • Work with auditors to ensure that the fund's financial statements are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Provide financial analysis and advice to the investment management team
  • Develop and implement new accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong understanding of fund accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
