The Banquet Event Supervisor is directly responsible for the execution of unique event experiences, while actively supervising and participating in daily functions within the Chase Center.
This position serves as the point of contact to clients while providing supervision, leadership, and direction to banquet captains, staff, both in the front and back of house. Responsible for ensuring that events are executed flawlessly and in accordance with guest and Sodexo Live! standards.

- Facilitate special guest requests.
- Intervene in instances of guest dissatisfaction, creating a positive resolution.
- Ensure all requirements of banquet event orders are executed and to standard.
- Ensure proper service of alcoholic beverages, are handled properly and in accordance with state guidelines.
- Provide consistent floor supervision during events; Monitor flow of service and maintain continuous communication with kitchen.
- Ensure that all servers are present, properly uniformed, and well-groomed to standards.
- Train, delegate and assign responsibilities to staff.
- Responsible for inventory of banquet supply items.
- Complete all necessary reporting.
- Ensure assigned work areas are clean and properly maintained.
- Works and reports to F&B and Operations managers.
- Works hand in hand and effectively with cleaning operations and as well set up teams.
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of direct leadership / supervisory experience in a banquet food service environment.
- College degree in the field of restaurant or hotel management preferred.
- Experience hiring, coaching, and counseling of team members.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions.
- Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Ability to work well independently.
- Ability to work well in a high stress, fast paced environment.
- Flexible availability to meet operational needs. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length and can bend and lift to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.
