Sodexo is seeking a Segment Finance Director to support multiple IFM client accounts with an estimated $250M in volume. The Director will act as a liaison and business partner to our VP & Director as well as partner with Operational Leadership of Sodexo Technical Services. This is an internal and external client facing Director role with the responsibility for financial controls and processes of IFM Regional Accounts, and the integration and optimization of Sodexo Technical Solutions.
The Finance Director monitors and ensures accountability for financial performance, oversees the processes and policies across accounts, as well as the development and monitoring of financial goals, forecasts, and resources. You will be the key point of escalation for the regions finance teams and clients and have direct involvement and accountability for the overall performance of the account.
The position is remote with travel up to 25%. Preferred candidates will reside in Central or Eastern United States.
Key Areas of responsibility:
- Finance lead and business advisor to Vice President / Account Director(s)
- Proactive decision-making support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyzing and managing large data sets ($250M)
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly analysis of financial performance of clients or contracts assigned.
- Ensure that assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses for responsibility area are accurately reported and accounted.
- Develop and present complex financial reports to internal and external clients
- Develops and maintains planning and budgeting systems, including analysis and interpretation of trends.
- Conduct financial reviews with operations teams to drive financial understanding as well as to produce accurate forecasts and budgets
- Work cross functionally with accounting teams on the development and implementation of tools, systems, and processes to support the successful completion of timely and accurate accounting closings and forecasts
- Implement, document, and maintain policies and procedures that support efficient and effective processes as well as maintaining strong internal controls.
- Acts as a change agent in delivering financial best practices, assisting operational excellence efforts, and supporting corporate initiatives.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics, including operating & administrative budgets, forecasting.
- Assist management with developing and monitoring account financial goals, forecasts, and resources.
- Oversee the period end closing process, ensuring that related expenses are reported in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage, mitigate and resolve high level problems with thoughtful and impactful solutions
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 7 years in public or corporate accounting managing full-cycle accounting activities across multiple accounts
- Experienced in developing and implementing financial processes and process improvements
- Demonstrated skill as an effective leader, communicator and collaborator
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
- Advanced technology and analytics skills required

Position Summary
Provides leadership on Finance strategy for the assigned Segment. Has accountability for the performance and results of multiple related units of finance in assigned Segment. Handles general accounting and financial reporting, cost accounting, auditing, budgeting and forecasting, and systems individually and in consultation with Centers of Excellence as appropriate. Responsible for providing oversight and direction to Unit Finance. Develops departmental plans, including business, production, operational and/or organizational priorities. Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility. Decisions are guided by resource availability and functional objectives.
