Unit Description:
Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a Food Service Production Manager to join our Nourish Foods team at our brand new Commissary Kitchen in Santa Clara, CA. This position will provide supervision for multi-functional food service areas within the kitchen to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures. You will lead high volume pack out operations, food handling and food safety experience, quality control, large volume, commissary kitchen experience/factory a plus, supervising experience a must, computer skills, working under presure and deadlines, team player, coaching, catering experience.

This person will need 7 days availability, including night shifts, as the business grows.

  • Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
  • Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
  • Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
  • Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
  • Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement

Position Summary:
Responsible for inventory management and procurement of food and supplies at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. Manages food production through kitchen staff in a medium facility. Contributes to account revenue and operating profit contribution through cost containment and safety.
Key Duties
  • Utilizes Sodexo resources, recipes, systems and programs to direct daily operations including; food production, inventory, product deliveries, invoices, and procurement operations.
  • Ensures employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources to perform their job, and meet goals, cost controls and deadlines as assigned.
  • Establishes and maintains a safe work environment including both food and physical safety in order to comply with all regulatory and Sodexo standards
  • Complies with budget requirements by controlling costs (i.e. labor, inventory, equipment, materials) and making adjustments when necessary
  • Supervises employees by delegating, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operating standards

Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
