Sodexo, world leader in quality of life services, is seeking a Senior Manager, Health & Safety. This is a virtual location position.
This position will report directly to the Health & Safety Director and will provide direct oversight and support for business operations across an assigned region. Expected overnight travel will be approximately 35%.
The assigned region will be based on need and location. Sodexo is open to the employee living and working in any of the four continental U.S. Time Zones.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide health & safety segment support, deployment, compliance, incident investigation, and training in the assigned zone.
- Integrate safety into the culture of the organization, produce safe environments for our employees, clients, and customers, and manage key performance indicators to drive strong business results.
- Effectively communicate throughout various levels of the organization while managing a team of HSE managers
- Identify and address potential hazards that may cause injury, illness, or property damage
- Assess health and safety risks associated with equipment, processes, and facilities, ensuring compliance with internal audit process
- Validate compliance with applicable Federal and State occupational health and safety regulations
- Follow-up on investigating legal matters as directed by the legal department
- Support all segment on all OSHA and other regulatory inspections and citations.
- Ensure abatement of regulatory violations, key participant at informal and contesting stages, and determines settlements
- Determine accident causative factors and facilitate appropriate remedial actions
- Provide training to employees and managers with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize hazards and perform their jobs safely and effectively
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects focused on streamlining Health & Safety initiatives. Examples: frontline employee training, management safety onboarding, resource and tool digitization, etc.
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates with:
- 5 years of basic management experience
- 3 years of experience, technical knowledge and familiarity with regulatory requirements,
- The ability to identify and address potential hazards that may cause injury, illness, or property damage; Assess health and safety risks associated with equipment, processes, and facilities; The ability to ensure compliance with internal audit process
- Demonstrated experience leveraging project management and influencing skills to successfully deploy programs.
- Strong communication, presentation, and change management skills

Position Summary
Responsible for Health & Safety segment support, deployment, compliance, incident investigation, and training in the assigned Zone. Health & Safety includes all safety disciplines, such as environment, health and safety, food safety, and product quality assurance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
