Content Designer (Contractor)

The role

The Creative Studio at SoFi is looking for a talented designer to join our in-house agency and deliver exceptional digital experiences for our rapidly growing brand.

As part of SoFi's award-winning in-house creative studio, your focus will be working day to day with our content team creating graphics for a variety of content pieces ranging from newsletters, educational content, and articles. You will also work cross-functionally with our lifecycle marketing team and product marketers. We're looking for someone who is driven, forward-thinking, and nimble with exceptional skills in visual and communication design. You'll join a culture of people excited to come to work every day to help people get their money right.

What you'll do:

• Own end-to-end concept and design for content projects across a variety of digital mediums, including but not limited to:
• Custom visuals/graphics for content materials, including videos
• One sheeters and educational materials
• Email/Newsletter designs
• Data visualization/infographics
• Landing page design and updates
• Social media posts
• Create consumer-facing work that is visually exciting, forward-thinking, and emotionally engaging for both educational and marketing purposes.
• Help us test, iterate, and optimize designs to consistently deliver and improve business results.
• Work collaboratively with fellow members of the creative, web, and content teams as well as cross-functional stakeholders, like product marketing and lifecycle marketing
• Champion the SoFi brand and user experience, and help shape SoFi's brand narrative.
• Be a part of our close-knit in-house Creative Studio, producing award-winning, first-in-class advertising and marketing materials.

What you'll need:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience, with strong skills in graphic design.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and iterate on different design options based on stakeholder and creative feedback.
• Very comfortable collaborating with marketers, writers, editors, and other cross functional partners.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while also supporting the larger team.
• Ability to balance multiple projects with tight timelines while producing high-quality work.
• Understanding of marketing and content strategies.
• A strong, well-rounded portfolio full of beautiful, yet functional, work that demonstrates the ability to deliver business results.
• Awesome written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working in similar regulated industries, primarily FinTech and Insurance

Software:

• Proficient in design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Adobe After Effects for subtle motion graphics
• Experience with Adobe Substance for 3D asset creation
