SoftInWay is a global leader of turbomachinery design, commercialization and simulation and are quickly expanding our HQ operations. The company is searching for a bookkeeper with operations experience for the global HQ in Burlington, MA. This is a temp to perm position in a well-established, self-funded technology startup. The bookkeeper will be responsible for general accounting task for the HQ as well as coordinating and reconciliation of global accounts with foreign subsidiaries and their accounting teams. General account tasks will include cash and accrual accounting, client billing, AP, payroll, managing and management/tracking of sales team and global reseller commissions. At least 5 years accounting/bookkeeping experience is required, and interest in expanding role to operational and active finance management.
Qualification:
- Minimum 5 years experience in general accounting with both accrual and cash based accounting methods, QuickBooks and financial administration function.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- High level of ethical and professional conduct, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Experience with fringe benefits and grant/ government accounting a plus
- Experience in Simulation Software, Engineering Services or a Commercial Real Estate company preferred
Responsibilities:
- Bi – monthly (global) payroll management and processing including expenses, commission and other one-off adjustments.
- Month-end global accounting/entity reconciliation for revenue, expenses, and target tracking.
- AP & AR management.
- Price list tracking in context with currency and exchange rate in global markets where product/services are sold.
- Local and global sales tax & tax exemption filing, reporting and tracking.
