Responsibilities :
- Under general supervision performs in depth complex daily CPT, HCPCS, Modifiers, and ICD-10 review of outpatient codes and charges to resolve coding errors and claim edits. Accurately interpret handwritten and typed notes/diagnoses and convert them into CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 codes and apply appropriate facility modifiers.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
- Must have three (3) years of Outpatient coding experience(ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, facility Modifiers), and claim edits.
- Strong skills in CPT, ICD-10, & HCPCS coding applications.
- Anatomical pathology coding experience
Preferred Skills:
- Certified Outpatient Coder (COC).
- Knowledge of facility LCD, NCD, and NCCI edits and how to interpret.
- EPIC and 3M preferred.
