Job Summary
This position will prepare documentation in support of various functional needs of the program office or its subordinate organizations. Experience in the use of MS Office applications and Adobe Professional products is required in order to prepare documents, briefings, reports and charts in prescribed Army and standard use formats. The ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with others is needed.
This position requires U.S. citizenship. Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities include tracking and reporting to the Government on work package costs, preparing work packages for Government review and acceptance, and interfacing with Army Project/Product Managers and GSA financial counterparts on financial related issues. You will be responsible for the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects such as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments. Provides analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects. As a Financial Analyst you will be expected to prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in finance & general business conditions, and other related areas. Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Additionally, you will be expected to create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. You may be required to conduct special financial and business related studies with other departments in the preparation of analyses. Specifically you will provide support for:
- Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process for assigned programs with one or more types of direct Department of Defense (DoD) appropriated or Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
- Anticipate potential problems and formulate preventative actions to eliminate or reduce negative impact to assigned programs as well as maintain all internal controls for audit compliance requirements
- Recommend solutions to budget problems to ensure effectiveness of assigned programs.
- Support the management, development, and/or submission of budgets for assigned programs, to include the President’s Budget (PB) submission Budget Estimate Submission (BES), Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Strategic Portfolio Analysis Review (SPAR) documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4 - 7 years of experience
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
- Skilled in operating MS-Office Excel
