Position: Facilities Manager
As the Facilities Manager, you will join our Corporate Operations team to ensure the success and growth of our 21 corporate-owned locations in the Northern Virginia and Maryland markets. This position would be servicing locations between Ashburn, Leesburg, Reston, Chantilly, and Manassas. The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the business’s property management & maintenance needs. Strong candidates will come equipped with a full range of knowledge, including but not limited to; general handyman skills, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry walling, and HVAC. The Facilities Manger must be well versed in vendor and client relations and adhere to strict time schedules. This position will be responsible for timely and complete work to the standards of the company.
This is full-time position with some nights and weekends required. Our beauty professionals have 24/7 access to the salon, so it is sometimes necessary to work before or after usual business hours to accommodate their schedules. The right person for this position is passionate about supporting other’s success, has a proven ability to communicate, is organized and detail oriented, and can assist in developing effective systems and executing processes.

Job Responsibilities
Facilities Management
· Conduct all maintenance of the salon during your visits. E.g. light bulbs, hanging pictures, studio signs, painting, drywall, unclogging shampoo bowls etc.
· Learn the intricacies of our fixtures and how to quickly assess and repair using the cabinetry that is provided
· Ensure tasks are completed properly and in a timely manner
· Quickly and proactively resolve emergency maintenance issues (i.e., water heater flood)
· Move cabinets to/from storage (requires a 2nd person at times and a truck to move them)
· Obtain supplies that are reasonably required for each job, which are reimbursed on a monthly basis. You will save all receipts for materials for turn-in to the company. A company credit card may also be provided for payment of supplies.
· As necessary, Vacuum common areas, pick-up and restock bathrooms and breakroom, and empty common area trash. Steam bathroom and breakroom floors, clean exterior and hallway glass, and deep-clean bathrooms as necessary to maintain a high degree of sanitation and appearance. Note, we do have a professional janitorial company in place.
Plumbing
· Convert shampoo bowls to a pedestal sink and vice versa.
o Involves tapping into existing water lines and drain lines and moving them to an adjacent wall on occasion.
· Fix minor erosion leaks in sinks and other fixtures.
· Cap existing plumbing to create additional hook ups for sink additions.
· Complete drywall repair and sanding/painting after plumbing work is complete.
Electrical
· Diagnose electrical issues including lights, outlets, breaker issues, etc.
· Install chandeliers when needed (including adding a junction box in the ceiling where needed)
· Install new outlets and ensure that they’re properly connected to the breaker.
· Troubleshoot breaker issues and other light electrical issues as needed (large electrical jobs will be contracted through an Electrician)
HVAC
· Adjust thermostat schedules quarterly year so as to keep the salon temperature at a comfortable temperature.
· Adjust dampers in each studio as needed.
· Diagnose problems and issues with RTUs to assist the HVAC vendors with any major work that needs to be provided.
· Ensure that HVAC quarterly maintenance and contracts with vendors are being maintained.
Relationships
· Maintain regular, open dialogue with the Director of Facilities and/or GM to ensure maintenance and repairs are being completed on time.
· Provide consistent and dependable service on a daily basis so that work does not get backlogged.
· Treat Sola professionals with dignity and respect
Skills/Qualifications
· Vast knowledge of commercial building repair and maintenance skills
· Flexible schedule with the ability to respond to occasional emergencies and quick turnarounds (some evenings and weekends required)
· Professionalism and maturity with the ability to consult with Sola professionals about work that is being done within their studios.
· Ability to troubleshoot a wide array of issues that may unexpectedly arise
· Experience in plumbing is a must
· Experience in commercial or residential property management is a plus
· Strong project management skills
· Even-keeled, effective communicator (written and verbal)
· A team player with a great attitude who will take on challenges and adapt as needed
· Flexible and able to balance competing priorities with limited supervision
· Independently motivated and solution oriented
· The applicant must be able to meet the basic physical demands of this job which includes crouching, standing, reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing and other motions not identified in this list
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $70,000 annually and is commensurate with experience. This is a salary exempt position. Eligible for up to 10% annual bonus.
