Job Summary -This position is responsible for working directly with internal customers, carriers, and brokers to answer questions, address issues and solve problems. The billing specialist will focus on using company resources to audit freight invoices, execute payment documents and drive internal efficiencies. An ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, critically minded, and thrive in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform freight audit and submit payment requests.
  • Ensure timely payment of accurate invoices.
  • Resolve rate discrepancies between freight invoices and agreed upon rates, liaising with carriers as necessary.
  • Use multiple software platforms to complete the auditing process and provide solutions.
  • Maintain and develop internal efficiency.
  • Answer inbound phone calls and provide status updates to inquiries.
  • Learn company operations for the brand and various internal departments.
  • Schedule inbound vendor shipments
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2 years of experience in administration or freight auditing, logistics or related field
  • Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
