Job Summary:
Overview
As the Assistant Manager for Soleply, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, optimizing sales, managing inventory, and supervising store staff. Your strong leadership skills and passion for sneakers will contribute to the overall success of the store.
Key Responsibilities
Store Management
Ensure the location reaches their sales goal through effective and confident leadership
Open and Close the store
Keep the store organized and clean
Create solutions to enhance the performance of the team.
Curate the best experience for every customer that walks in the store.
Handle customer complaints and concerns that arise at every location.
Approve in-store/local pickup orders.
Collect mail per location.
Communicate with the District Manager for any larger scale store issues that you can’t handle.
Note what is needed for your location to succeed and pass the notes up the chain of command.
Manage the money and drawers.
Team Management:
Customer Service Excellence:
Provide a welcoming and positive shopping experience for customers.
Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Train and guide store staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Work with the Store Manager to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets.
Assist in creating enticing displays and product presentations to attract customers.
Upsell and cross-sell products to increase average transaction value.
Inventory Management:
Assist in receiving, inspecting, and organizing merchandise shipments.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate stock replenishment.
Conduct regular inventory counts and coordinate with the Store Manager for reordering.
Team Supervision:
Help recruit, train, and onboard new store employees.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities among the store team effectively.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve employee performance.
Store Operations:
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, adhering to visual merchandising guidelines.
Collaborate with the Store Manager on store opening and closing procedures.
Handle cash management and ensure accuracy in cash register operations.
Product Knowledge and Trend Awareness:
Stay up-to-date with the latest sneaker releases and industry trends.
Educate the store team on product features, benefits, and technologies.
Loss Prevention and Security:
Implement security measures to prevent theft and shoplifting.
Follow proper procedures for handling returns, exchanges, and refunds.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the store.
Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Previous retail experience, preferably in a sneaker store or sportswear environment.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
Passion for sneakers and a good understanding of sneaker culture and trends.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficient in using POS (Point of Sale) systems and basic computer applications.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
