Job Summary:
IT Systems Admin will provide help desk support and assistance in the security and maintenance of the organization's networks and operating systems.
Evening shift 11:30am-8pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
Test and evaluate existing network systems
Perform regular maintenance to ensure that networks operate correctly
Troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and Internet systems
Respond to requests for help from employees; properly diagnose the problem; walk through the recommended problem-solving steps
Purchase, set up or repair computer equipment and related devices
Train users to work with new computer hardware or software, such as printers, word-processing software, email
Maintain network and computer systems and security
All other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to identify both simple and complex computer problems, analyze, and solve them
Must be able to deliver exceptional customer service while under extreme pressure
Must demonstrate the ability to remain personable and professional when dealing with difficult customers and situations
Must be able to communicate professionally verbally and in writing
Must be able to learn at a faster than average pace
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
Must be able to perform simple mathematical equations in order to process payments and perform inventory tasks
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
College-level coursework or degrees in Information Technology or related field is preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, twist and lean up to 50% of the time.
May be seated for long periods of time utilizing office equipment and lift up to 30 lbs.
