Full-Time High School Science Teacher in Chester, PA
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and standards.
- Utilize various teaching methods, techniques, and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and empowered to explore scientific concepts.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, assignments, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that enhance the integration of science with other subjects.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
- Stay updated on advancements in the field of science and incorporate relevant discoveries and technologies into the curriculum.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Science (Secondary Education) in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Proven experience teaching science at the high school level, preferably in a diverse urban setting.
- Strong knowledge of the subject matter and proficiency in delivering comprehensive instruction across various science disciplines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with students, parents, and colleagues and work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
