Our school near Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Full-Time Middle School Special Education Teacher with a focus on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to join our team.

As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs.

Position : Full-Time Middle School Special Education Teacher (IEP Focus)

Location : Wisconsin (specific location to be disclosed during interview process)

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring that goals and objectives are tailored to their unique strengths and challenges.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed to promote academic and social-emotional growth.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, IEP goals, and communication with parents and stakeholders.
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture that promotes independence, self-advocacy, and a love of learning among students with special needs.

Qualifications :

• Wisconsin DPI certification in Special Education (required)
• Experience working with middle school students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to specific learning disabilities, emotional / behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices, including the IEP process
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
