We are seeking a passionate and highly qualified Middle School Special Education Teacher to join our team in Anoka, a 20 minute drive from Maple Grove, for the 2024-2025 school year.
The ideal candidate will work within our Level 4 Program, Compass, providing specialized instruction and support to middle school students with diverse learning needs.
This position requires a Tier 3 or 4 license in special education.
Position Details :
Location : Anoka, MN (20 minute drive from Maple Grove, MN)
Start Date : August 26, 2024
End Date : June 6, 2025
Hours : 37.50 hours per week
Days : Monday - Friday
Caseload : Level 4 Program, Compass
Hourly Wage : $36-41 (Based on experience)
Responsibilities :
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in the Level 4 Compass Program.
Provide direct instruction and support to students, adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
Employ positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) to manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications are in place.
Conduct assessments to evaluate students' academic and social-emotional progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress, IEP goals, and communication with parents / guardians.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications :
Valid Minnesota teaching license with a Tier 3 or 4 Special Education endorsement.
Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting, preferably within a Level 4 program.
Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Other Requirements :
Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings.
