Responsibilities:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in conducting assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
- Implement personalized treatment plans to address students' individual needs and promote participation in classroom activities.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, conducting therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' success and participation in educational tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- State licensure or eligibility as a COTA.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not mandatory.
