Position : Full-time School Counselor
Term : August 18, 2024, to June 2, 2025
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive counseling services to 3rd-5th grade students (8 to 11 years old).
- Support both General Education and Special Educationstudents within the assigned caseload.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Implement school-wide programs that promote a positive school climate and address behavioral concerns.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in School Counseling or related field.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a School Counselor endorsement.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
