Job Title: Full-Time School Psychologist
Location:Grayslake, IL
Job Description: We are seeking two full-time School Psychologists to join our team in Wildwood, IL, for the 2024-2025 school year. These positions are for 35 hours a week from August 14, 2024, to May 28, 2025. One position will be dedicated to the Full-Time Extended Learning Program (low incidence multi-needs and medically involved) at Laremont School. The other position will be split between the Extended Learning Program at Laremont School and Early Childhood. The roles involve working closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive psychological services that support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students.
Educational Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised internship in school psychology.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide counseling and mental health services to students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create supportive learning environments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan for student needs.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Advocate for students educational and emotional needs.
- Stay current with research and best practices in the field of school psychology.
Certifications:
- State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Illinois.
- National Certification in School Psychology (NCSP) is preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience and training in School Psychology.
- Successful criminal background clearance.
- Successful and/or clear drug screening.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to hire.
