Minimum 1 years speech therapy experience required.

We are actively seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Port Orchard, Washington, for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

This is a full-time, contract-based position with potential renewal opportunities based on performance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist Speech Language Pathologists in conducting speech and language screenings.
• Implement treatment plans or protocols as developed by the Speech Language Pathologist.
• Document student progress towards goals and prepare reports for the Speech Language Pathologist.
• Provide support in creating and maintaining an appropriate and effective learning environment.
• Assist with the preparation and adaptation of instructional materials.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and service provided.
• Follow all local and state regulations and guidelines for providing speech and language services.

Requirements :

• Must meet all local and state regulatory requirements for Speech Language Pathologist Assistants.
• Valid Washington SLPA license or certification.
• Associate's degree in Speech Language Pathology Assistance or related field.
• Proven experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Passion for making a positive impact on students' lives.
