Electrical Designer/Drafter

Sollmann Electric is looking for a skilled Electrical Designer/Drafter to work with our Design/Build team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drafting skills –Developing and designing building electrical systems. Complete electrical design drawings using computer aided design hardware and software.
• Responsible for producing building electrical system designs that are safe and logically well thought through according to the scope of work established for the project.
• Apply sound design practices to all aspects of the building electrical system including lighting, power, special systems, site layouts, one line drawings, etc. to meet the requirements of the project.
• Problem-solving skills – Frequently revise drawings based on changing power needs or equipment.
• Communication skills – Communicate with and respond to questions from engineers, estimators, project managers, and customers throughout the planning and design process.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical school certificate in electrical drafting, electrical engineering, or similar degree/program; or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with and apply basic electrical and mathematical concepts.
• Valid Driver’s License

Position Type: Full time

Hours Per Week: 40

Salary: $20 - $30 per hour based on experience
