Our client, a San Diego hospital system, is looking for a talented Medical Intake Coordinator to add to their team. This position operates onsite.
Responsibilities:

Entering & maintaining admission information for patients
-
Data entering demographic, clinical & insurance information
-
Obtaining authorization & re-authorization for services to be provided from a variety of third party payors
-
Working with commercial health plans, PPOs, HMOs, MediCal, CCS & other guarantors
-
Working closely with clinical & billing staff to ensure optimum reimbursement for services rendered
Qualifications:
-
3 years of experience in a similar role
-
Associate degree or higher
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
-
Thorough knowledge of insurance verification
-
Prior authorization experience
