Equipment Operator

SOLON Corporation, a leader in the design and construction of commercial solar energy systems in the Southwest, is seeking equipment operators for our large commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation construction projects.

Responsibilities

· Operating a variety of equipment including but not limited to skid steers, mini-excavators, forklifts, backhoes, etc. as well as using hand tools

· Trenching, excavating and grading

· Mounting solar modules

· Minor concrete and paving work

· Miscellaneous construction site tasks as assigned

Qualifications

· Two years’ experience operating a variety of construction equipment

· Three year’s general labor experience in construction including trenching, excavating, etc.

· Clean safety and driving record

· Ability to lift 50 pounds or more

· Reliable transportation to job sites

· Ability to travel 50% of the time in state and out of state

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work can be physically demanding, working frequently in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather and working conditions. May be subjected to extreme weather conditions and terrain as well as physical circumstances involving extensive climbing, lifting, bending and working in confined spaces. May also be working in a climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.
