Solugenix is assisting a client, a leading financial services company, in their search for an Senior Accountant. This is a 8 month contract based out of Scottsdale, AZ (Remote/Hybrid).
Qualifications:
- 4-year college degree in accounting.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Equivalent experience may be considered for substitution.
- CPA preferred/not required.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains integrity of accounting information and systems, in accordance with standards and rules under GAAP, as well as other regulating bodies.
- Reconciles, analyzes, and synthesizes financial data from business operations.
- Plays an active role in the preparation of public financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, SEC filings, DOI reports, and other regulatory reports.
- May evaluate or support the evaluation of company and regional profitability, efficiency and product performance.
- May evaluate the effects of changes in accounting regulations on the Company's financial statements and accounting controls.
- Executes accounting policy and procedures and participates in internal and external audits.
- Performs most complex accounting activities to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger.
- Prepares difficult journal entries and reconciles complex ledger accounts. Prepares financial statements and reports.
- Provides advice or training to less experienced accountants.
- Tasks are varied and highly complex.
- May develop senior management presentations.

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $35.71/hour to $35.71/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
