Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team at our East York, PA manufacturing location. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete embedded systems development lifecycle, with the objective of creating scalable and optimized software and hardware systems for our products. This role requires expertise in embedded systems engineering, proficiency in coding (particularly in C/C ), and knowledge of hardware and software design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems, starting from requirements and continuing through to production and commercial deployment.
- Develop and execute the design, schematic capture, component specification, and PCB layouts for hardware-embedded systems.
- Code, test, debug, and enhance system software.
- Review code and hardware designs for quality and efficiency.
- Analyze and improve the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
- Integrate and validate new product designs.
- Support software quality assurance and optimize I/O performance.
- Provide post-production support.
- Collaborate with other design and development staff within the Engineering Department.
- Evaluate third-party and open-source software.
General Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional industry experience in a related field.

- Proficiency in C/C coding.

- Expertise with the commercial software qualification process.
- Familiarity with MODBUS, RS 422, RS 485, and CAN bus.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science, with a minor or focused course work in hardware and software design.
- Certification in C or C or an additional two (2) years of practical experience.
Required Professional Experience:
- Proven working experience in embedded systems engineering.
- Hands-on development and troubleshooting experience on embedded targets.
- Experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
- Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
- Excellent knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.

- Monday through Thursday: 7:30 am to 5:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
- Friday: 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
