Head of People

Solv
San Francisco, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 1/13/2024 CLOSED ON 3/13/2024

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of People position at Solv?

Being sick or injured is painful. Getting better shouldn't be. At Solv, we’re building a mobile-first digital health marketplace that enables convenient, quality healthcare for millions of people. As part of our growing team, you’ll play a critical role in reshaping what consumers can expect from healthcare, and how providers interact with patients every day. It’s work that matters.

As Head of People, you know that changing healthcare will take building a team unlike any other. You’re passionate about finding, growing and unlocking innovative, driven talent – people who are relentless in their focus to make a difference. Whether recruiting the next Solver, refining our core programs, developing talent, or simply looking for ways to inject some more fun into the lives of our Solvers, you bring organization, data-driven insights and people centric intuition that drives our business forward.

In practice this mean that you'll:
  • You put Solvers first in everything you do. At your core, you are fundamentally motivated to help unlock others to do their best work.
  • Lead all things “People Team” including career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and anything else we haven’t remembered while writing this list.
  • Partner directly with our co-founders, leadership team, and managers to build highly functional, engaged teams. You work directly with all Solvers to understand their needs and ambitions and to build a healthy organization.
  • Own the people systems roadmap, partnering with our Strategic Controller, BizOps, IT and Finance to make sure we have the right tech stack in place to manage our people programs. You own these tools directly and if you don’t know how to run them, you adapt and learn quickly to make sure things are in order.
  • Integrate inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility directly into our programs and processes. You do not view diversity efforts as “someone else’s job” but as core to how we operate.

You'll accomplish the above because you:
  • Leverage your 8-10 years of experience driving on important HR initiatives – while always looking to define and build the “Solvish” way of doing things.
  • Are ready for startup life. You are adaptable, and you thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment. You love identifying problems and fixing them in scalable ways.
  • Are a self-starter who loves collaboration. You're comfortable working by yourself, and also enjoy influencing cross-functional teams and building partnerships with others.
  • Embody Solv’s values, while bringing your unique point of view to create a remarkable experience for employees and candidates.
