The Configuration Management Lead will be responsible for leading and/or supporting all aspects of the Change Management process to maintain the system technical baseline and configuration-controlled documentation therein. The CM Lead will maintain the System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) and ensure consistent execution with baseline management and system engineering processes. This will include management of a Virtual CM process for technical documents, as well as an Engineering Review Board process as the decision/change agent for items that impact program schedule, execution, and/or delivery. Examples include trade study results, design decisions, requirement, and architecture changes, or any technical or schedule decision that may impact program execution.
Duties Include:
- Establish a formal process for capturing the baseline and managing changes and distribution.
- Employ this process to identify, control, maintain, make recommendations to evolve, and execute changes to technical baselines.
- Use change management software to mitigate the risk of unauthorized and unplanned changes to the technical baseline, including document content and the associated links.
- Provide user access to all databases used to manage the technical baseline, leveraging JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Perform requirements analysis in response to requested changes, addressing flow‐down, and changes to systems engineering products such as ICDs and verification plans.
- Maintain interface control for all ICDs/ISs that involve interaction between segments, contractors, or external agencies.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
- At least 5 years’ experience leading a CM/DM Team.
- Experience required supporting similar DoD or Space Domain Configuration Management Efforts
- Experience managing a small team of CM/DM professionals
- Experience with agile COTS Configuration Management Tools – JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint strongly preferred.
- Must possess exceptional communication skills to coordinate with many stakeholders.
- Must possess exceptional attention to detail.
- Motivated self-starter who takes initiative, welcomes a challenge, and can drive solutions.
- STEM Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant engineering or IT engineering field.
