Somerset College Preparatory Academy is looking for an ELA teacher for our Vocational Tech program for the 2023-2024 school year! The ideal candidate will have a vocational/technical/ industrial trades background and should understand how to teach content area using application-based instruction while still meeting standards. We are in Port St. Lucie, only 45 minutes north of West Palm Beach. Port St. Lucie is one of the largest growing cities in the US according to the 2020 census. St. Lucie County’s Somerset schools are serviced by Academica, one of the nation’s longest serving and most successful charter school support and service organizations.
The candidate must have a bachelors or higher, a Florida teaching certificate and have the ability to pass a drug test and level 2 clearance. Experience is a plus but not required.
