Warehouse Night Supervisor

PURPOSE OF POSITON

The Warehouse Night Supervisor is responsible for directing the daily activities of the warehouse. This includes overseeing staff. The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the facility and equipment. The Warehouse Supervisor may also be required to perform other duties in addition to his/her own.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The list below contains tasks that are typically associated with the job. It is not all-inclusive and may vary.

• Works independently setting priorities
• Audit / check orders being pulled by order pullers. Check for accuracy of items and quantities
• Periodically check and respond to all e-mails each shift
• Make recommendations to managers to improve operations
• Interact with associates, peers and management to establish goals
• Ensure timely preparation ad completion of all necessary records
• Replenish stock – go through back stock and organize back stock area
• Put away product from vendors
• Check in product and verify invoice amounts
• Pull orders as needed
• Safely and efficiently utilize the warehouse material handling equipment.
• Read and understand product descriptions, and packaging.
• Consistently meet established company production and service level standards
• General clean-up of warehouse including but not limited to: sweeping, and cardboard bailing
• Face Shelves
• Secure warehouse and set alarm upon leaving
• Other tasks as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Temperature extremes: hot and humid temperatures and/or 5 below zero freezer temperature
• Night / weekend shift work
• Occasional overtime as necessary to meet production schedules.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY:

• Assumes responsibility for the workplace safety of self and co-workers, and for safety conditions of the work location.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or general equivalency degree required
• Meet minimum requirements on pre-employment testing, including physical ability tests and drug screen
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to consistently meet minimum production standards and company service levels
• Ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language
