What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Sonepar?

What you will do:
- Safe and reliable delivery to customer job sites, industrial locations, and other North Coast locations
- Daily pre-route vehicle inspections for safety & vehicle readiness using the Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Report
- Ensure truck is properly loaded, secured, and within the weight limitations
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness
- General warehousing, filling orders in support of delivery route with an RF scanner
- Other duties as assigned
What you will bring:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- DOT Medical Examiners Card, or ability to obtain one
- Safe operation of a forklift or other Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to learn the use of handheld scanners and operating systems
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Committed to 100% accuracy and Doing it Right the First Time (DIRTFT)
- Self-motivated, teamwork focused, and great customer service skills
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- This position is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime
- Repetitive lifting and pulling of heavy objects (50 lbs.)
- Warehouse environment and customer jobsites
- Usual 40-hour work-week Monday through Friday; however, based on business needs, evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required
- Requires regular and reliable on-site attendance
Salary & Compensation
- This position is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime
- Pay is $19.16/hour - $23.42/hour, or $39,852 - $48,713 annually if working full-time
